Artist statement:
The daisies float like the pieces of a forming idea, the individual fragments of thought that swirl around, ephemeral, before merging into a coherent vision.
Some of the pieces in my own mind when painting this were of the vegetal archetype of the Green Man, the 70s flower child and a simple admiration of daisies swaying in the field beside my home, the sensation of wind lifting my hair.
Like much of my work, the painting emerged from a swirl of transient impressions rather than fixed concepts, gradually gathering into a unified whole.
We happily offer lay-by on all original artworks and prints, with a 50% deposit. Contact us to set up a lay-by. Please note that the product will not be marked as sold until we have received your payment, and will therefore be available for others to purchase until it has been secured.
