The leaves steep in hot water and release their essence. The guest pauses for a moment of reflection as the liquid flows from vessel to vessel. White wisps of steam drift and dissolve into the air. In her earpiece, instructions arrive in hushed tones. The soft murmur of the pouring fades, and the ritual is complete.
In the studio, tea begins each day. A new pot is brewed every hour. Each cup a small fire that keeps the hands moving.
